THEME PARKS
The two major theme parks in our area have to be Futuroscope and Monkey Valley. Futuroscope, near Poitiers, offers extreme thrills, breathtaking shows and interactive adventure. In complete contrast Monkey Valley is home to over 350 primates in a beautiful setting, many roaming free for the visitor to enjoy and interact with.
WALKING, RAMBLING AND CYCLING
There are numerous walking trails and cycle paths designated in the area which wind across open countryside, indigenous forest and alongside rivers and streams, The designated trails are all clearly signposted. Route maps are available at the local tourist office and/or Mayors office in the village.
SPORTY THINGS

A variety of sporting activities are available in the area. Locally you can try your hand at horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, karting and for those adrenalin junkies there are motor sports, paragliding and microlighting. At the nearby airfield at Couhe you can learn to fly, have microlight lessons or just go for a sightseeing flight of the area.
HERITAGE

The south west Vienne is awash with historical sites dating from Roman times to the present day. Churches, castles, manor houses, museums and sites of archeological interest can be found in practically every town. Of particular importance is the market town of Gençay with several major castles in the surrounding area.
NATURE

The exceptional climate enjoyed in this part of France has resulted in a diverse natural environment. Consequently the rich landscape has become a haven for nature lovers. Our own woods and grounds are habitat for an enormous variety of birdlife and wild deer can be often seen on the fringes of the.
WATER ACTIVITIES
If it’s fun in the pool you’re after, look no further, your own private heated swimming pool will, without doubt, satisfy your needs for relaxation with a bit of exercise thrown in. If that’s not enough, nearby at Payré, there is a 22 hectare lakeside activity centre that will surely meet any water lovers’ needs. Fishing is available at the lake in Vaux en Couhé.
